Bahá'ís believe that service to humanity is integral to creating a global society where all people prosper both spiritually and materially. As such, the Bahá'í Community is constantly collaborating with other religions and community partners to make a unified global society a reality. You don’t have to be a Bahá'í to participate in service with Bahá'ís. We welcome everyone who is inspired to serve humanity!
In the Indianapolis Bahá'í Community, there are many ways in which both Baha'is and non-Baha'is can serve to better our community!
- Photographer (take photos at various meetings) -
- Reach out to people to gather news stories and reflections
- Visit homes of friends to pray and discuss the cause
- Assist with outreach about Baha'i core activities
- Be a guest presenter at a fireside or junior youth group
- Open your home for a practice prayer or home visit
- Become a tutor to train others to teach children's classes, animate junior youth groups, or host devotions
- Assist teachers for children’s classes
- Support and back-up helpers for Junior Youth groups and other events (help with transporation, food, or other needs)
- Help with Sunday devotions
- Host a devotional meeting or fireside
- Host a social event like a game or movie night
- Participate in a study circle
- Help care for our beautiful Baha'i Center
- Help schedule and coordinate Feasts
- Help schedule, coordinate, and plan Holy Days
- Take notes and count attendance at Feasts and Holy Days
- Host a sector Feast
- Help record and follow up with seekers who come to Sunday devotions
- Accompany someone who is new to Bahá'í activities
- ...And many more!
