The twin holy days, celebrating the Birth of the Bab and Baha'u'llah, will be celebrated on Nov. 12 and 14.

There are three invitations below that can be used to invite your friends, family, co-workers or neighbors to one or both of these celebrations.

New Fireside Event After Sunday Devotions

In hopes to deepen community members as well as friends of the Faith, each Sunday from 11:15-12:00 (after Sunday devotions) there will be a short presentation on some aspect of the Faith followed by discussion. All are welcome!

If possible the topics will be announced ahead of time.

Race Unity Day 2015 Celebrates Diversity

Race Unity Day 2015, hosted by the Indianapolis Baha'i Community, was a great success! Activities included speakers, live musical performances, cultural dance performances, food, bounce houses, and fellowship.  Many thanks for those that planned the celebration and contributed through performances and cooking the delicious meal. What a wonderful example of unity in diversity!

To Light a Candle Screening Draws Over 50 Attendees

The first public screening in Indianapolis of the documentary film, To Light a Candle by Maziar Bahari, was attended by over 50 people. The event, co-hosted by the Indianapolis Baha'i Community and Amnesty International, was held on Friday, May 30th at the Athenaeum Theater in downtown Indianapolis. After a brief introduction about the plight of Baha'is in Iran, the film was shown.

Naw-Ruz Celebration a Wonderful Example of Unity in Diversity

The annual Naw-Ruz Celebration, marking the beginning of the new year for Baha'is and a time of spiritual renewal, was a great success this year with over 100 Baha'is and friends of the faith attending!  The diversity present at this event was astounding with a variety of age groups and cultures, all coming together to celebrate in a spirit of love and friendship. The theme was "Naw-Ruz Around the World" and everyone pitched in dishes of international food to celebrate diversity.

Ayyam-i-Ha Celebration 2015

Nearly 50 people attended this year's Ayyam-i-Ha Celebration!  Family and friends gathered to celebrate love and fellowship by playing games and eating dinner together.  Before dinner, there was a game tournament with 5 events: Dizzy Mummy, Nosy Neighbors, Cookie Face, Angry Elephant, and Skittle Skurry. Teams of 2 competed to finish the events in the fastest time. Winners for each event and overall won prizes to take home.  After dinner was a second set of hilarious games including Newpaper Clothes Designer, Paper Airplanes, and Blind-Folded Face Painting.  What a blast!

West Side Junior Youth Group Shows Promise

The West Side Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, located on the west side of Indianapolis, began in the summer of 2014. It currently consists of 5-8 junior youth between the ages of 11-14. This particular group happens to be all male. All but two of the young men live in the neighborhood that we meet at every Saturday from 11am to 1pm.
